Linear Flash

TecSys supplies PCMCIA linear flash cards from the manufacturer Pretec.
Linear flash cards contain flash devices without a controller. The flash modules are addressed directly.

ATTENTION!  Linear PCMCIA cards can automatically switch between 8-bit mode and 16-bit mode. However, as of August 2017, only cards that are EITHER 16-bit OR 8-bit capable will be produced.

  • It is important to know exactly which chip is in the card, and whether the card is with or without attribute memory.
  • The cards can be supplied for either 0°C ~ 70°C or with extended temperature range -40°C ~ +85°C.
  • To read or write these linear flash cards from your PC, it is best to use an Omnidrive USB LF Drive.
