Description

OmniDrive USB2 LF is ideally suited for industrial applications where 16-bit Linear Flash Cards are used, such as:

  • Mechanical engineering
  • Medical technology, and much more
For use in industrial computers, the OmniDrive USB2 LF is also available as a built-in version with a 3.5" mounting frame and PCB version. The available USB cable lengths of 2 meters and more allow for installation in remote control terminals.

 

OmniDrive USB2 LF/SD 8-Bit is a Professional Drive. It was developed to operate Linear Flash Cards with a pure 8-bit data transfer bus. The proprietary device drivers enable the use of the proven Professional Software Tools. The Windows tool PC Card Manager offers extensive options for editing storage media:

  • Flexible formatting utility
  • Memory card drive for USB 2.0
  • Slot specifically for 8-bit Linear Flash & SRAM Cards

Application

OmniDrive USB2 LF/SD 8-Bit is an external drive for a variety of storage media. The device offers two separate slots for this purpose:

  • PC Card Interface specifically for handling 8-bit Linear Flash and SRAM Cards
  • SD Card Interface for direct access to Secure Digital Cards, Secure Digital High Capacity Cards, MultiMediaCards, and SIEMENS Micro Memory Cards for SIMATIC® (system-dependent)

The compact aluminum housing provides optimal protection for the device and card. Power is supplied via the USB connection, alternatively also via a power supply unit.
